Poor Technical Design

When the oven light burned out I could not get the globe around the bulb to come off. I had my son try also to no avail. I had to call Best Buy service to come to my home. He had to take off the entire back panel to get to the fixture. This is unacceptable. He ordered an entirely new socket and sent it via U.S. Mail. I still had a hard time reaching the back of the oven. This is just not user-friendly. I would not recommend this product.

I absolutely love my gas range. It performs very well. We have no complaints. It cleans up so nicely and is such a handsome statement piece in my kitchen which is why Ive named it Curtis.

Broke down only after a year and half

So we had our entire redone in 2020 April to be exact. We were excited to upgrade our appliances and was recommended to go with LG. Well not even 2 years later our oven went. 4 days before Christmas went to turn it on and got an error of F9 which basically said it failed to preheat within the first 5 minutes tried the trouble shooting and nothing put in a claim the first repair company never showed up. The only reason I didnt lose my cool was because it was still under warranty thankfully we purchased the extended warranty Called after the holidays and told them was set up with another company they came out to tell us it was a bad ignitor but they had to order a new one and would be in about a week. Meanwhile I have no oven

Paint start to chip after using the easy clean

I clean my ranger and my refrigerator both of them LG same material and the ranger start chipping I call to complain and since it was a manufacturing defect they exchange the door but it did it again and they dont want to sent a technician unless I pay Ill never use LG again

1st off the glass in the oven door is and has been loose since the day we had it installed. A rep came out 2 or 3 times took the door apart and reassembled it and no change. When he call LG with me listening he was told that was normal. I personally checked several other stoves in stores and never found any that the glass moved.
2nd the blue glass coating on the inside is chipping away and dropping glass chards in our food. We are now in the process of finding out how this will be handled.

We own the predecessor to this model and after 7 years the oven ignitor failed. We had the repairman come and replace it. The oven worked for two weeks then it stopped working again. Repairman returned and found that the circuit board that controls all the functions was not passing adequate power to the ignitor. So we ordered a new circuit board. When he put the new board in it made no difference. No oven. So he traced the wiring and felt the problem was in the wiring after board. Bottom-line he said he could continue to try and troubleshoot but that labor would need to be charged with no guarantee that the problem would be resolved. Estimate for work was approximately half the cost of a new stove. So we ended up replacing this LG. Both the repairman and the salesman the store sells LG products recommended staying away from LG stoves as they constitute a large number of services calls. While I expect to have to replace parts once in a while I also expect a stove to last more than 7 years.

We purchased our range approximately 1.5 years ago and started having intermittent issues with the digital readout part of the display wasnt showing completely. Also the audio timer started not functioning properly sort of echoed instead of being clear. We initially scheduled a service call but then cancelled it because we researched and troubleshooted the problem ourselves and plan to repair it ourselves instead of paying a contractor the service call fee on top of the price of the parts. Also the instructions arent easy to follow regarding setting the clock timer.
