I bought this a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it. Very quiet and enjoy the status I get from the dryer on my cellphone. The real winner with this dryer is that you save two ways. It recycles the air in the dryer rather than inefficiently blowing heated air outside. Will also save on my fuel oil bill since I am no longer be sucking in cold air to replace the air normally blown outside only to be reheated by my furnace in the process.

We used this dryer maybe 10 times before thinking that it would be easier to switch the direction of the door. The instructions are included in the manual and we assumed it would be a 10 min project. However the metal plate that the screw goes into wasnt secure behind the panel and we couldnt get the screw to come out or go in. So - working dryer but not usable. It was under warranty so a technician came out. Said that 12 or so parts would need to be ordered and the entire front of the dryer would be replaced. We immediately asked for a full replacement - because who wants an appliance assembled and in their house? Long story short the parts were delivered to our home except for 1 which was on back order. We were now 4 weeks without a dryer. LG refused to refund or replace out unit until 30 days passed. Once at 30 days they finally agreed but it took another 2 weeks for someone to pick up the broken dryer and deliver the new. Of course the delivery people wouldnt install and told me to call LG again. Overall the customer service representatives that I talked with were courteous and mostly tried to help. But I spent hours on the phone overall. The communication between departments was horrendous. For example once approved for a replacement I had to send in a proof of purchase. I was told the receipt wouldnt qualify because it didnt include the full date. IT WAS PURCHASED FROM LG.COM Even their own sales dont meet their criteria. I was also told numerous times that there was no way to contact the service technicians and delivery folks. That makes no sense to me. Anyways - the dryer now works for us. I do notice that I need to run the dryer twice if I have a large set of clothes. It just never seems to fully dry. But I like the lint traps and its quiet and a good size for what we need.

Great heat pump dryer meets/exceeds our needs

We purchased the LG DLHC1455W heat pump dryer to replace an older full-size gas dryer in our basement. While the LG dryers capacity is smaller than the dryer it replaced we find that the dryers capacity more than meets our needs as a retired couple - there are just the two of us. We were approaching this purchase with two items in mind: 1 mature heat pump technology to avoid burning fossil fuel and/or electric resistive heating and 2 reduce makeup air requirements in our home. Operationally using any heat pump dryer requires a bit of adjustment - chiefly in the length of time it takes to complete a dryer load. This is NOT excessive at all. Routine maintenance chores - emptying the condensation container cleaning the lint filters - require no special skills or unusual amounts of time. In fact we had planned to purchase and plumb a condensate pump for this dryer to automatically pump the condensate to the washer drain but quickly found that emptying the built-in condensation container to the adjacent sink was no chore at all. The instructions provided with the dryer are more than adequate for the novice user and do contain instructions for installing the included condensate drain hose as well as for changing the orientation of the door - which we did perform in under 10 minutes. In summary in the 12 days since its arrival the dryer has perfectly and gently handled the 18 loads weve presented to it with absolutely no problems or special actions on our part. We can both gladly recommend this dryer.

I bought this dryer 2 months ago because I needed a dryer and was not wanting a vented dryer. Europe has had these since the 80s so they arent new. The dryer works but doesnt sense the moisture level of the laundry you know the point of a sensor dryer. So I messaged customer service through their website and got disconnected twice with them claiming I stopped responding. Lies. They claimed both times they could not find my dryer in their system besides it being registered through the app when I bought it. So I called customer service. They also kept trying to force me off the phone after only a couple seconds of silence and couldnt find my dryer. After giving them all my information registering it they magically find it then after some troubleshooting the steps and instructions were for the wrong model they say ok someone will call you tomorrow to schedule a technician. This was over a week ago and I still have not heard from them. I thought lg had good customer service thats why I bought this very expensive dryer but now I regret it. I dont think anyone right now has good customer service so if you buy a ln appliance right now I guess just plan on replacing it when something breaks on it if you cant fix it yourself. The dryer is slower than a resistance heat only dryer but there is a fast dry setting that uses a resistive heating element and probably fixes that but that defeats the point of buying one of these. Just allow more time to dry your clothes and youll be fine on energy saver mode as it still gets the clothes dry just fine.

Great escape from vented and overly large dryers

We had no interest in getting a vent installed and half the world bans the use of vented dryers everyone uses here in the US because they arent good for the environment. This Dyer was a pleasant surprise. We are very happy with its results. Its just me and my wife so the load size works for us. The negative reviews around things coming out wet or damp I believe are missing that they are supposed to. This is how these kinds of Dryers work with some variation between models for sure but your clothes essentially come out almost like theyve been steamed they feel slightly damp to the touch when taken out and are ready to fold immediately any dampness is gone by the time you finish folding. for Large bulky items or loads you overfill It may take an extra zap but Everday loads are done the first time around as described above for me.

I purchased this item two weeks ago and I am just getting a chance to use it because not all of the parts came in the box when delivered. I purchased the washer and dryer together to stack in a closet as advertised. The stacking kit and drain hose was missing. Originally when I called LG the rep. didnt care if I returned the item or not. He said I would need to purchase the kit separately. Now that I have the unit up a running it is fine very fancy. My trust is shaken on what to expect from this unit in the future and if I will be able to receive assistance for LG if something should go wrong.

This dryer is a waste of money. It takes three four sometimes even five hours to dry a very small load. For instance five T-shirts can take four hours or more and still be damp. I dont use it at all just sits on top of my washer and its a good shelf to put things on. I would suggest anyone buy this dryer.

So far so good I have had for a month now. Dries well. Seeing all the water in the tank is weirdly satisfying. Dont know how much energy its using compared to standard vented dryer but Im confident that in winter the ventless setup will save a lot of money by not dumping heat outside. A lot less lint/dust in the laundry room now. A lot quieter then conventional dryer. The only small con is that both lint filters are kind of flimsy but they work well just doesnt seem like theyre going to last a life of the dryer. Would definitely buy again. The negatives of long drying times and smaller volume dont bother me - knew it going in it dries queen size winter blanket/comforter fine in a span of about 3 hours.

I wish I could do zero stars. This dryer is so useless. Ive had a service man come out to look at it thanking maybe something was wrong with it. When I purchased it after looking at the reviews I know that some said it takes slightly longer than a regular dryer. Because it is ventless it recirculates the air. but it takes more than three hours to get two bath towels to a damp condition. Five T-shirts after five hours I gave up. They were still damp. I have the washing machine set to the highest wring cycle hoping that that would help. Not worth the electricity it takes. I bought a clothesline for outside and a retractable line for inside which I put in my shower. And that is how I dry my clothes. I wish I could return this piece of junk. Dont waste your money.

I have a small closet in my new house for the washer and dryer so I had to buy this compact size. I am so disappointed with this purchase and wish I could return them. The washing machine is OK just very small. But the dryer is useless. I dont even use it. All of the reviews I read before purchasing mentioned that it took a little bit longer time than a traditional dryer. This is absolutely misleading. Because Australia is a ventless it has to continually re-circulate the same air. I have never had clothes get dry in this dryer. Two bath towels more than three hours and they were still damp. Five T-shirts more than five hours later they were still damp. I had the washing machine set to spin the highest cycle so that I get as much moisture as possible out of the clothes but it does not matter. I recently had a repairman out to look at the units and he did not find anything wrong with the dryer or the washer. but the dryer is an absolute waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone. It is just taking up space in my cabinet. Very very very disappointing.

Within its first year this dryer has had 3 service calls. It takes 3 hours to dry when it is working well. So much for energy efficiency. It has taken 9-11 hours for one load. Highly unacceptable. The ventless technology has many more improvements to be made or this particular one is just a lemon.

Recently bought this dryer and a lot of people say things come out damp. They sort of feel like that when you reach in a grab on but by the time you shake it out and start folding you realize it isnt. It doesnt over dry everything the way normal dryers do. So they are less wrinkled and will probably last longer as a result.

My new LG Thin Q dual heat pump is performing better than expected. I believe the secret is to directly install the condensate hose directly into the drain. Clothes dry quickly.

We bought our LG electric clothes dryer a few weeks ago mostly because we didnt have venting available. In addition we have a solar array with battery storage and it made sense to take advantage of that. This dryer is smaller than previous gas ones but it seems to dry pretty well as long as its not over loaded. There are lots of loading options and it has a smart feature that will turn off when the clothes are dry. Design is very modern and attractive and we hope to use it for many years to come

Have owned the w/d pair for two months other than the dryer making an occasional odd noise they work wonderfully. I put a new metal roof on my home and removed the roof dryer vent. I was worried I made the wrong decision to go with a ventless dryer but I took the leap of faith. The units work great no complaints at all. Since I am now a believer I have ordered the ventless wash tower. I hope they work as well as these do. The wash tower is 120v vs the 240v on this model. Will review once I get and can compare to the smaller pair. I will put the smaller pair in my cottage. I am replacing an older bosh ventless that was not a heat pump and it did not work very well. It would fill the room with humidity something these do not do supprisinly. I hope this review helps there are no issues with drying at all...

I purchased the front load LG stackable small washer dryer. The washer gets an E1 error almost every time I use it. Example a queen sheet and two small kitchen towelsgets out of balance and stops cycle. You must reach in and pull out the laundry dripping and soaking wet put it back in and start again. So forget remote running from your smart phone. Who does that anyway?. So when this happens sometimes the door will mot unlock so you have to cancel the load. It drains and then you start all over. The ventless dryer is even worse. Up to 3 hours to dry a load. How LG calls these energy star efficient is a complete lie. I have asked LG to let me return these and buy larger and more efficient products but they want me to first call repair people. These products arent broken. They are simply crap products and not worthy. So if LG n wants to waste time and pay for needless repair people I guess I have no choice but to comply.

I month this almost two months as part of a remodel project. It was professionally installed. Six weeks later after project was completed. I tried to use it and got a door error. After about 5 minutes of use. After we consulted the manual it was clear we needed a service call. Navigating the website was Kafkaesque . Several hours of hassle with the phone bots finally got us to a person who agreed we needed a service call. A week later the service technician diagnosed the problem - a dangling plastic door tab that triggered the door closed sensor. A new door was ordered - big replacement for a tiny little tab. Maybe plastic is cheap in the short run but not in the long run.

I bought this compact dryer due to the narrow staircase leading into my basement. I researched for months and found this to have the best overall performance at an affordable price. Ive had the dryer for a few weeks now and done a few dozen loads of laundry. It works well and does a great job. The only downside is that the ventless dryer does take a lot longer to dry a load and also the lint filter alert is sort of annoying. I always clean my lint screen so I dont need a constant alert but I do understand why its there. Im also quite tall so its low to the ground and I have to squat low to load/unload but I have the pedestal on my list of products to purchase.

Owned the previous model of the same machine which died after nine years. This newer model is an upgrade. Works quieter the new machine is smaller in outside size but still holds the same capacity as the old model. Great for small spaces.Just wish it was a little less expensive.Wifi features are not needed but an extra bonus.

Moved into a small ADU. Chose the LG stackable for space and energy efficiency. Washer is fine. Dryer just is a disappointment. It doesnt dry a small load in less than 2-3 hours. Ive done all the troubleshooting and nothing was amiss in installing or lack of emptying the filter. Was told by customer service to never use energy saving modes as it would increase drying time even more. My solution is Ive put up a clothesline and will only use dryer to fluff clothes as that is basically what its good for.

What a waste of a money.DO NOT BUY. Ive had this dryer for just about 1.5 years and have had the drying time for clothes go up and up since day 1. I understand this takes smaller loads but as of lately its just been mind boggling how long it takes to dry even the smallest load. Ive tried all the maintenance you can do to help the machine run optimallyand it runs as optimally as using a blow dryer bought at the dollar store. The clothes take HOURS to dry and it still leaves the clothes damp. And if you want to dry towels itll take days. Youre better off hanging your clothes out to dry. Ive called LG and spoke to a representative for them to send out a technician who just told me its working perfectly fine. And still charge me $125 for a service call. If I wouldve known this is what perfectly fine was then id never have bought this. My entire kitchen is all LG and I expected the washer and dryer to be the same quality but I was completely wrong. I would return this and get a normal dryer in a heart beat. My previous washer from 1990 was running better than this piece of garbage. Please do not buy this awful dryer and to the poor soul that does buy it best of luck and I hope you have the patience for 3+ hour loads consisting of just 3 t shirts and a pair of pants.

Our recently purchased LG Ventless Electric Dryer has exceeded our expectations. As expected it takes longer the dry each load BUT is more energy efficient. An overall plus for the environment. The controls offer a variety of drying alternates and our clothes are predictably dry and surprisingly soft. A great investment.

I finally got this little dryer installed and stacked on the washer. Its surprisingly very roomy inside and I love that it has real lint trap. It works well for an electric but yes it does take hours to fully dry....so even if a full load fits....its better to just dry half the load at a time. Not too load and doesnt shake like the washer. Got it at a great I price and it was worth it for the convenience.

We love this ventless dryer. Our place doesnt have an exterior vent so this works perfectly Also love the 2 lint traps that have a very fine weave to them to catch more lint.

I bought a set of HE washer and the matching heatpump dryer in white. Delivery was slow due to limited inventory and I had some concerns about the drying time and smaller drum capacity. However the smaller size of the washer and dryer did not bother me at all. We washed cal king size sheets and covers just fine. The down duvets might not fit but we decided that these might deserve dry cleaning. The drying time on the sensor is not accurate. Our clothes got dry in half of the time that the dryer calculated That is frustrating but a nice surprise because all other review mentioned longer dryer time or clothes are not completely dry. Our clothes was very dry and toasty hot
