Disappointed with LG Service

I requested service on my dryer and the service tech could not fix it. LG charged me $375 for the repair. They said that I would only be charged $125 for a diagnostic fee but was charged the full amount. I have requested a refund several times but they have not given one. Overall Im not happy with LG. I ended up fixing the machine myself with parts bought online. With the price of the parts I purchase online and service charge from LG I could have bought a new machine.

This LG dryer takes forever to dry clothes taking 2.5 hours to dry a normal load. My attempts to address the issue through customer service have been fruitless and have resulted in my spending needless extra money in duct service work that was not needed. I purchased the dryer from Homedepot.com and relied on favorable customer reviews in deciding on this dryer. However as I found the large amount of time it takes to dry the clothes and I went back to the reviews to see if others have mentioned about the same problem. I then found that most of the favorable reviews were a part of promotion that LG had offered to the buyers. Stay away from this dryer and carefully read the return policy.

The mechanian changed parts and did not solve the problem and asked me to pay for a gas company check. Not Easy To Install with Propane Conversion neede

The store did say upon purchase that they couldnt install the Gas Dryer due to the fact it was Propane Gas and they dont connect to propane. That I would need to contact my gas provider for hook up. However my gas company and TB Webber refused to do the job because fear of being sued and voiding warranty. Because actually it not just installing it. The actually Dryer has to be converted to use propane. So I had to by the conversion kit the machine has to be opened up and it placed inside to convert it before it can be installed. All plumbers and appliance companies dont do this. This needs to be explained to customers with PROPANE Gas But now that its successfully installed I love it so quiet and easy to use However had to give it a 3 because of nightmare of installation

Bought this a month ago after all the other machines I was interested in were unavailable for immediate delivery. That said its a nice large capacity dryer that works pretty well. The energy efficient cycle leaves clothes a little too damp for my liking otherwise its not a bad choice... the washing machine on the other hand... I bought this less than a month ago from Home Depot. It as promptly delivered as promised set up with respect and care and has worked just as described. The blue tooth connectivity is a great feature in the event that it requires service. It can be diagnosed via your home network thus eliminating multiple trips to your home.

I bought this Dryer with my Washer. Before I make a decision on anything I buy I first check out YouTube and look at all the good and bad reviews well LG was number 1 for all the good reviews. This was a no brainer.

Nice but has issues

Disappointed and defective

Bad overall experience 11/6/2022

Didnt get heat and would NOT repair under warranty no repair for 8 months until finally realized it had a defective part. Still doesnt work very well and would not recommend. Steam does Not work. Completely inaccurate advertising of this machine

Product failed within couple of months

Damaged products 10/23/2022

The dryer failed within first couple of months of usage. The burner needed to be replaced We also bought a washer that we delivered twice damaged. The third one was OK Very disappointed with the quality of the LG products

Beautiful Functional

We are loyal to LG washers dryers Our old set of washer dryer lasted us for 13 years we were so happy with them. We figure to replace them with another LG we couldnt be happier. We love all the features very quiet great value for the money love the way they look.

I got this installed end of June Im single and barely home.. it leaks at certain times not from the connections Ive tried to schedule a maintenance but no one is returning my calls or emails..

Outstanding Dryer--Does it All

Since I had to replace my washer spouse insisted upon a matching set. This dryer has an amazing load capacity and same connectivity features as the washer. Performs flawlessly. Spouse particularly likes the glass door Wi-Fi notification of status and the ditty it plays at the end of cycles. Very impressed.

Great features and cycle options

I bought this dryer along with the matching washer. I have the gas dryer and it is very easy to use with versatile drying options. I also use the LG ThinQ app which is easy to setup and navigate.

My clothes do indeed get dry

You put in some wet clothes and press buttons and when the dryer is done your clothes are usually dry. If theyre not you just press more buttons and do another short cycle and then theyre dry. Good stuff.

Super quiet to run

New upgraded replacement 2

We replaced an existing LG washer/ dryer combo with this unit. The others had lasted quite a while so we have good confidence in LG washer/ dryers. The new dryer is quieter very fuel efficient and does an excellent job of sensor drying. This new unit has more upgraded features than the old one and allows for many options for drying.

More options than youll probably use.

Year old. Works very well when you dont push the wrong buttons. Somehow we engaged the child lock. There is no child lock button. After hours thinking the error code was clean filter we called help line. Had to press and hold a button to clear. Lots of wasted time when a complete owners manual is not provided.

Clothing Dryer

Nice matching piece to my washer. Does just about everything youd expect a dryer to do and overall Im satisfied. The only reason I took off a star is because there are a lot of extra features that can only be unlocked by connecting the machine to the LG app. Im fine with that however after spending some time trying to connect it I gave up. I will try calling to see if a tech can help but it shouldnt be this difficult. This isnt my first smart object Ive connected in my house so I cant say its the users fault.
