Very good induction cooktop

This is now my 4th induction cooktop in 5 years (and 3 different homes). This l the first was on a slide-in range and worked very well, the second was a very high end cooktop only that was flawless, the 3rd was a completely dysfunctional cooktop (Thor brand) that only heated the inner 5 inch diameter and did so inconsistently. I disconnected myself and returned it the first month, it was so bad. This Frigidaire model was the replacement. It was on sale from a mid range price and got decent reviews. I took a change and am glad I did. It works great and looks good too. My only complaint is when using the dual burners for griddle cooking the back heats higher than the front. Side from that, it functions as induction is meant to and I'm happy to be cooking evenly again.

36" Induction Cooktop is Great

We are really enjoying the new induction cooktop to our kitchen cooking! We were concerned with using gas/propane due to emitting fuel fumes into our home when cooking so we decided to go with the induction cooktop instead. It's great! And it's fast too. Like boiling a pot of water is almost instant where before we had to wait 10 minutes. Very cool!

Cooktop is very powerful. It is easy to use and manage temperature settings.It is very shiny and shows finger prints. Requires thorough cleaning (easy enough) whenever it is touched. It only supports one bridge setup. All in all, it is an excellent value.

Operation of the 36™€ cooktop is smooth. It responds well and is intuitive relative to pan size. It looks smart and sleek. Ceramic cleaner also works well. Unfortunately the timer function does not work. Disappointing for a brand new appliance. I was on hold on telephone for a total of 1.25 hours just to initiate assistance from Frigidaire. Appalling. Now an eight day wait for a technician to call.

Our first induction adventure

Installation was easy enough to replace the gas cooktop. There is one place in the instructions where there is a mistake. The drawing shows a mounting hole for the hold-down brackets lined up with the center line (and it should be the *center* of the bracket lined up with the center line).It does heat up the pans fast. We have found that our 8 inch carbon steel pan heats unevenly (I think the pan may be too small to cover the outer region of the largest induction element, so it only gets heated in the center). Things work better if you have 6, 7, and 10 inch contact areas. Our induction-ready al-clad appear to work better than the carbon steel. Right-sized cast iron works well, but it heats slower.It does make a little bit of a buzzing noise. Lighter weight pans make more noise than heavy ones.

I really like how easy the cleanup is on the cooktop. It took me a minute to find quality cookware that I could use on it and I was sad to give up some of my nice pots but I am really enjoying the new pots and the cooktop. It has taken some trial and error to figure out timing on the cooking with the induction, but it cooks more evenly and quicker than my old one use to.

By Far the Best Appliance Purchased for our Remodel

This cooktop cooks and distributes heat evenly and is highly efficient. It also adjust to the pot/pan size so no heat is wasted. Since it is induction, the burners heat very quickly and cook quickly though it requires caution after the burner is shut off because heat does not dissipate as quickly as might be expected. Overall, it was well worth the price and is also beautiful to look at. We bought the 36" and there is plenty of room for many pots and pans. Controls are super easy to use and we love the built in timer. Very satisfied.

Prior to my purchase I had a different brand cooktop with the griddle option and loved it. With my purchase I made sure i had the same griddle option. My only complaint about the frigidaire brand is when I use the griddle option it makes a noise like a humming/whistling fan like a mini jet engine. I was not expecting that since my last cooktop did not do that. Slightly disappointing. It is very simple to clean, water and a soft cloth. cleaners leave streaks.I'm still getting the hang of increasing and decreasing temperature settings on the individual burners. My old cooktop had a plus and minus button to increase or decrease temp for each burner. The frigidaire i just purchased has a "slide" function for increasing or decreasing burner temp which sounds great but is not as easy to use and is some times tempermental. Cook times have siginificantly decreased with my new cooktop and I love how quickly the burners cool to the touch. So I would say this cooktop is not perfect, but still very nice.

Owned inductions previously. Elements heat up quickly as expected. No problems with cook top. Only negative is I do wish slide controls had +/- buttons to make slight temperature increase or decreases. Top Cleans very easily and looks great. The bridge burners work great with flat griddle pan. Would definitely recommend.

Not only is it beautiful, it works much better than the gas stove I had before this one. It heats up extremely quickly. I also like the safety features. I have two younger children who were scared of the gas stove but I will start teaching them to cook on this cook top.

This model is sleek and very nice looking. It does everything the manufacture wrote about it. I really like the amount of space on the cooktop to work and the left side is set up to handle a long pan. The most most impressive part to me is how quickly this stove can boil water with the power boost button. I am very impressed with the accuracy of the temperature controls. I highly recommend this cooktop as it is also a breeze to cleanup spills.
